With Halloween just around the corner I thought I would pass along these homeowner safety tips to help you have a safe and Happy Halloween.
Light the way-Keep all paths well lit and leave the porch light to welcome trick or treaters. A well lit pathway prevents people from tripping or falling. Don’t forget to replace burned out bulbs and make sure lighting is grounded.
Clear a path-Make sure your walkways are clean and clutter free to prevent falls. Don’t forget to clear your lawn since kids tend to run from lawn to lawn instead of using sidewalks and walkways.
Decorate with safety in mind-Use battery operated LED lights instead of candles and keep props and decorations away from walkways to prevent fire hazards.
Keep pets safe-Protect your pets by keeping them inside instead of outside where they can be scared or run into the street.
Test your smoke alarms-Don’t forget to test your smoke alarms before your Halloween celebrations.
